Welcome to the InfoPogo.com alpha release!

InfoPogo.com's goal is to simplify finding, analyzing and sharing public information.

You can browse detailed census, demographic, population, and crime information about cities, states, counties, zip codes, or the United States. Begin by typing the city, state, county, or zip you want information about in to the box at the top of the page, then click the search button.

The intent of our pre-release-alpha is to give you an early view of the information we are collecting, test our software outside our lab, and -- most importantly -- to collect feedback from you on where we should focus our efforts. Would you like to see us collect more detailed census info? Or is there other public information you wish was easier to access, analyze or correlate (such as crime statistics, employment statistics, financial information, patents info, public health information, etc.)? Do you want to incorporate this sort of information in to your own web sites, blogs, presentations, reports, or spreadsheets? Would you like a place to publish and discuss data like this? Whatever feedback you have, we are listening: email us at feedback@infopogo.com.

For this alpha test, we have collected information from the United States Census 2000, the US Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) 2007, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Uniform Crime Report from 2006, and the FBI's Preliminary UCR for 2007. We hope you find the information useful.
